The McCann Industries MAS 49-56 Receiver Conversion turns what many believe to be one of the ugliest battle rifles ever produced, into a firearm of beauty and functionality.

The standard MAS stock is too short for most American shooters and is too low for effective scope mounting. The new McCann Lower receiver uses a standard AR-15 buffer tube, butt stock and pistol grip. The improved length of pull, cheek weld and handling characteristics, make the McCann Industries MAS Conversion, a natural for American shooters.

Most American shooters are familiar with the AR-15/M-16 battle rifle. There are currently (2) manufacturers making a copy of that gun in .308 Winchester with a price tag of $1,500.00 to $2,800.00. McCann Industries also makes a top end conversion in .308 Winchester, using Douglas air gauged barrels and an improved adjustable gas system. This Titanium Firing Pin weights only .428 ounces compared to the original steel pin at .714 ounces. That is a difference of .286 ounces.
 

Aluminum Scope Mount for
French MAS 1949/56

Our MAS Scope Mount is made of 6061T6511 Aircraft Quality High Tensile Aluminum, and is anodized with MIL-A-8625  Type II, Class II

The mount starts life as a solid block weighing 54oz. This weight is reduced to 5.5oz. a decrease of 90%.

This is not the least expensive way to build the part. Just the best!

All surfaces are machined on state of the art "computer numerically controlled" machining centers. To produce both a beautiful finish and to give you exacting dimensional tolerance. Once the machining is complete each part is trial fit to a MAS receiver.

When it passes the inspection process, the next stop is a total ultra sonic deburr. To remove all sharp edges giving a .005 to .010 radius.

Next stop is to apply a protective coating of mill spec/black anodizing producing a beautiful satin finish.
