Curtis is one of the rare people that has the ability to design and make knives of nearly perfect form. I say nearly because this is a high - bred, coming from the minds of both Iovito and McCann.
Curtiss drew the basic shape and we took it from there adapting superb manufacturing, heat treat finishing, sculpted grips and our world famous edge grind. It has a full tang with no removal of material in this area to make the tip very quick and light to point and thrust or slash.
It is no lightweight in the strength department considering the alloy is of O-1 and the grips are made of phenolic or micarta as some of you will know it by. And our bullet proof grip screw and bushing attachment points. A slight downward draft of the tang makes a reverse, saber or hammer grip very comfortable.
With an integral hilt no parts are riveted, soldered or epoxied to loosen or degrade strength. Most knife makers make or have made one or more of the products they sell over seas... we do not use any imported material, nor do we have them made out of the country. All edges are de-burred to give it the look and feel of "first class... not world class... who wants second best?
