It is the world’s first folder with no metal springs to fail, corrode, break or weaken. It was conceived, designed, engineered, tested and built in America out of American materials. It abounds with attention to detail befitting any precision instrument; from the CNC machine serrated bolt and hilt area to the bronze bearings and side thrust washers. So many areas of this beauty are painstakingly done it truly is a work of art. With expertly selected alloys, exquisite machine work and professionally done heat treat it will give exceptional service for decades. The blade and components are machined entirely on CNC mills and grinders. No laser cutting, water jetting or stamping is allowed. As with all our products "This isn't the cheapest, just the best". The Foldair™ knife is truly unique in that it has no springs. The actuator for the bolt is a nitrogen cylinder. It’s made by McCann Industries and has a lifetime warranty. The axle rides in a bronze plain bearing pressed into the blade. Both the right and left sides of the blade are supported by Delryn thrust washers which provides for minimal friction. The handles are made from 7075T6511 aluminum plate with decorative carbon fiber inserts. The Foldair is availabe is either Black or Olive. Approximately one- half of the limited edition run of 100 are remaining.
